About

Preferred Mechanical, Inc. is a full-service commercial and industrial HVAC contractor based in Phoenix, AZ, with over seventeen years in business and licensure in both commercial HVAC and general contracting in the state of Arizona. The company operates out of 2310 E Magnolia St, Phoenix, AZ 85034, serving commercial and industrial clients within a 25-mile radius. A key operational differentiator is the in-house sheet metal shop, which allows Preferred Mechanical to fabricate custom duct and pipe systems tailored to each project rather than relying on off-the-shelf components. This capability is particularly relevant for retrofit projects in older Phoenix commercial buildings where existing infrastructure rarely conforms to standard dimensions. Preferred Mechanical specializes in retrofit work, a critical service category in the Phoenix metro where aging mechanical systems in office parks, industrial facilities, and mixed-use properties frequently require complex, phased replacements. The two owners are directly involved in day-to-day operations and project management, which provides accountability that larger commercial contractors with multiple management layers may not offer. When specialty scopes are required, the company coordinates subcontracted services including third-party engineering, electrical, and controls work, delivering a turnkey system to the facility manager rather than requiring separate vendor coordination. This integrated approach reduces administrative burden for property managers overseeing capital improvement projects across Arizona commercial properties.
