We hired this company for annual maintenance on 4 HVAC units in our apartment, and the experience was absurd from start to finish. The “maintenance” consisted mainly of spraying the units with a cleaner from a can and replacing filters, yet the bill was over $1,000. The materials themselves could have been purchased at Home Depot for maybe $80. What made it even worse was that we were charged for 6 hours of labor because the technician arrived without the correct filters that were supposedly part of the maintenance package. He then left to go buy them from Home Depot, and we were billed for the entire round trip. Home Depot is literally a short walk away. Somehow, what should have been less than an hour of straightforward maintenance turned into a 6-hour billable job. After all of that, the filters he installed didn’t even fit our units properly because he only bought one size. We then had to purchase replacement filters ourselves to fix the issue. A few days later, we called them back regarding a recurring issue with one of the units. The same technician spent about 5 hours attempting to diagnose the problem. Much of that time was spent on the phone asking someone else what to do. After 5 hours, he still had no idea what the issue was and recommended scheduling yet another visit. That single visit cost us another $1,000+. So in total, we paid over $2,000 for: * 11+ hours of labor * being billed for a technician’s trip to Home Depot * incorrectly sized filters being installed * no resolution to our HVAC issue * and no actual diagnosis after multiple visits I understand that HVAC work is specialized and not cheap. What I do not understand is charging premium rates for disorganized service, wasted time, incorrect materials, and zero resolution. Extremely disappointing experience. Would not recommend. Looking for a new company to resolve the same issues now.

We had a chiller on our roof go down in our building in Manhattan , it was very hard to get someone out here to help us out who understood the system, we were recommended to York mechanical , they had came and solved our issues within a couple hours the chiller is running great highly recommend the York team we will be using them for all future work!
