Triton Mechanical

Do not use Triton Mechanical! I asked them if they do repairs on our dehumidifier which I gave the receptionist the make and model. She said she would reach out to the tech to make sure. I got a call back and I was told he had worked on them before. I also had to ask if there was a trip charge and all I was told was Yes. The tech ended up coming out and the first thing he said was "I have never seen one of these before." So he is here 1 hour and 15 minutes troubleshooting something he has never worked on before. I get a bill for almost $550. So I ask if they could break it down for me by trip charge and hourly rate because they didn't do that on the invoice. I am told the trip charge is $110, and the hourly rate is $150/hr. Supposedly they start billing by the hour when he leaves the facility which equals 2 hours including the 1 hour and 15 minutes he was here. Why not just tell me all of this info over the phone. In the service techs notes he stated that the dehumidifier MOST LIKELY needs a compressor and that they would have to find a dealer to be able to give us an estimate. So your guessing I need a part that is $1000's of dollars and this is coming from a tech who said he has never seen or worked on our dehumidifier before . Do you think I ever got a call back or quote. NO! I get the bill via email. What a scam! DO not use this Company.

Triton mechanical has come to our rescue on multiple occasions! Wether we had a blown compressor, blown fan or even just our AC maintenance, they have always been honest and ethical. Our first experience was a second opinion, where we had been told by a competitor a compressor couldn't be replaced and we needed an entire new piece of equipment. Our repair with service call with Triton was only $600!!!! I highly recommend them for all your refrigeration and HVAC needs.
