I had PMR deal with an insurance claim for a storm damaged roof for a rental property. He was on time any time we had to meet, which is the only reason for 2 stars. The claim was covered and when we met to discuss the roof, I wasn't fully understanding the paperwork the insurance sent me. Kevin was quick to point out my misunderstanding, showing the total amount of the payout would actually be more than I thought. There were a couple items I was going to take care of (a screen and two downspouts). The amount Kevin deducted from the total that would be due was the ACV and not the RCV (trying to squeeze a little more out of me due to my lack of knowledge of the paperwork). After the roof was done, the insurance required an invoice from PMR so they could release the final check. I told him this, and he got upset, boasting how he has been doing this for 20 years and no one asks for that. Two weeks later, I again tell him I need a final invoice and I would like one for my records. 10 days later and I ask again and the next day I am sent a bill for the balance, not including the deducted amounts for the gutters and screen. I again say I need an invoice. 5 days later, he again asks for payment and I again ask for an invoice, which he finally sends. It is not very detailed at all. While this is going on, I went to check it out the work and noticed a few things: -The drip edge and furnace vents, which were clearly on the claim, were not replaced. - One furnace vent was loose - The ridge vent was not the type outlined on the claim When I received the final check, I told Kevin it was received but I would only be paying for work they actually did, and I itemized the amount including deducting for work not performed. I told him I had to coordinate with the tenant so I could see what was causing the loose furnace vent. He eventually sent another invoice, reducing it only by the ACV of the screen and downspouts and again trying to collect payment for the drip edge and furnace vents he was supposed to replace but did not. When I investigated the furnace vent, I found it disconnected, so carbon monoxide would be pumped into the attic. I also found both bath vents disconnected from the fans (because they ripped them out with the old vents in the roof when replacing them) and only one properly connected at the roof vent. I repaired these myself and deducted the costs from final payment, along with the difference in price between the aluminum ridge vent outlined on the claim and the ridge vent he chose to install instead. I would much rather have had PMR do the complete job according to the claim, replacing both furnace vents, all drip edge and using the outlined ridge vent. Instead, due to their greed and dishonesty, they took it upon themselves to leave off that work and still tried to collect the full amount, because most people won't check up on those things. I have alerted my insurance company to their work practices, so hopefully if they do more work for them, it will be scrutinized more. I also reported them to the IDFPR and during the investigation, found out they forged paperwork to use another company's roofing license to pull the permit because they are not licensed.

We have used them three times in the last year. We had our 21 year old AC unit die in the middle of the summer, so we had to have them come out. They repaired it and replaced some parts for a moderate, fair price. The second time we called them was two months later because the fan in our attic was making noises (the blade was hitting something) and they ended up replacing the fan because it had bent over time somehow. We then had them come out to replace the unit and they gave us a fair price for the unit and install (looked up price of unit and the labor cost wasn't an arm and a leg considering they had to take out the old unit and put in the new unit in the attic by taking it apart and putting it back together again - the entrance to my attic was too small). Overall, I would recommend them because they are amazing to work with, friendly and try to work with your budget. UPDATE OCTOBER 2021: I signed up for an automatic monthly payment withdrawal to get my annual services done and noticed my payments stopped early Summer. I called the number on my card, it was disconnected. Called the number on the website and it goes to Illinois. Found out the Arizona office closed and they sold their clients to another servicer but have yet to get a call back to resolve this. My experience the two times they came out was a 5 star experience, but I lowered to 3 after this experience (no communication that the office closed, no offer to refund money for annual services would not be handled, no call back with new servicer).

Very disappointed I spoke to a man Sunday evening he quoted me a $99.00 service fee which would be waived if we elected to have you do the work told me someone would text me the next day, that didn't happen! The next day I go on your website the service fee is $89 so I went ahead and scheduled for Weds between 8-10am, Tues at 2pm I get a text confirming the service call, then at 5pm I get a text cancelling my service call from you! Weds I go to your website to schedule again and now the service call is $120 and no slots for service until Thurs!!!? Very unprofessional and misleading...confusing at best
