I was in the 6 week course to get my CDL. I had Sierra as my instructor and it was the funnest most educational course ive taken in my life. Sierra was extremely knowledgable about everything! She had formulas to succeed at every backing maneuver, knew exactly how to correct shifting mistake, and knew how to correct driving errors instantaneously. Sierra is the best teacher ive had in my life and im extremely lucky to have had her as an instructor. NIT was a great place to learn and has a lot of great instructors.

I am not sure what to think of NIT because I did not have the chance to attend, due to funding. I am not impressed with their financial aid options. Northern industrial training needs to either get monthly payments system together. Or start accepting FAFSA,but securing financial aid by one's self is tedious especially in a state where it is hard for small businesses to get grants. I am getting a co-signer not just to attend a 5 week course.

After a couple of years of thinking about getting my CDL A I finally started looking at how to get one in the summer of 2020. I found a few places that offered training and testing to get your CDL , NIT being one of them. After contacting them about attending I was given all the information needed to apply. I applied and then I also applied for there grant which helps cover the cost up to 5000. I was approved which was awesome. After that I just had to wait for the course to start in September which ended up getting moved to October then November. Eventually I was in the 6 week, 240 hours training class to get my Class A CDL. The classroom was great also was able to study to get some endorsements. Then the 4 weeks of learning to drive! My group of 3 guys learned pretty quick we spent alot of time practicing. We had multiple instructors, which was very helpful in my opinion because learning how to back didn't click until the 3rd instructor told me what to look for. Then test day came. Slotted a time to come and start your test, pre trip, backing, and a road test. Passed them all ! Now I have my CDL post training NIT has a job board they make and send out to graduates, I applied to like everywhere. Had multiple interviews and job offers soon after. I'd recommend this school. If you can be a sponge and listen and learn they can teach it to you. Thanks NIT
