As a young women who pretty clearly has no blue collar experience, its not uncommon for contractors and maintenance workers to talk disrespectfully to me or minimize whatever issue my family has been having with our utilities. I had the exact opposite experience on Wednesday with Jake and Jeremiah. I was struck pretty much immediately by their honesty and the respect they treated me with. They were patient in explaining things to me as well as trying to understand/diagnose the issue with our furnace and give suggestions on how to practically prevent issues in the future. They were friendly and put me immediately at ease. They treated myself, my son and our space with great respect and I just wanted to say I really appreciated it.

Fantastic to work with! Jayhawk had someone out very quickly and the technician was so knowledgeable (even got heat going so we wouldn't freeze until install - the equipment was old and needed to be replaced). We got an initial quote from another company (that did not get heat temporarily on). Jayhawk was MUCH more reasonable. Will go with them from now on! Highly recommend.

If the way their employees drive is any reflection of the quality of their work, I would never let Jayhawk Mechanical anywhere near my home or business. On November 5th around 4:15 PM, one of their white service vans with the ladder rack nearly slammed into the back of my vehicle while my kids were inside. This driver was impatient, reckless, and decided that waiting like everyone else on the 35W → I-94W merge was beneath him — so he cut across lanes at the last second, forcing multiple cars to hit their brakes. Then he flipped me off, as if we were the problem for not letting him endanger us even more. If this is who they allow to represent their company on the road, I’d hate to imagine what corners they cut with mechanical work. Safety clearly means nothing to them. There are way too many qualified, professional companies out there to risk dealing with one that tolerates this kind of behavior. Avoid Jayhawk Mechanical unless you want chaos and disrespect delivered right to your doorstep.
