We changed to Hern Heating and Air Conditioning when we needed a major A/C system repair. We spoke to Morgan who was very helpful and scheduled an appointment the same day. Jordan was very nice and explained what was wrong, what was under warranty, what needed to be ordered and the costs involved. We thought the quote was very reasonable. When the parts arrived, it was repaired by Brandon, Henderson and Torrean. Everyone was polite, very professional and obviously cared about the quality of their work. Hern installed a new AC system at my house. After ten months of actual use, the air handler completely broke. When I called, they demanded $250 just to look at it, with additional costs for labor. I said I didn’t have the money at that time, and would get back to them. At no point was I rude or demanding, yet two weeks later they refused to answer my calls or return my texts. In the end, I called another repair company, and they verified the breakdown was the result of improper installation. I fell for Hern’s “honest, family business” image, but the mask fell off once they had my money. They are evasive, don’t stand by their work, and care little for customer satisfaction. A wolf in sheep’s clothing. Don’t get bit!
