All my interactions with Hassler, its staff, and its employees have been excellent. Today’s visit by technician Robert Coates—to check the health of the heat pump system Hassler installed in 2024 at my home—was no exception. He arrived on time, quickly understood my concerns, and was undaunted by the challenges of the site. Robert was smart, personable, thorough and efficient. He took videos of each component of the system and showed me that everything was working properly and “looking good,” which was reassuring. As the system is still under warranty I wasn’t charged for this inspection. I’m happy to recommend Hassler for their superior customer service, integrity, and quality. As Robert said, “it’s a good company.”

We had an excellent experience working with Hassler Heating & Air, especially Rich Flores. Even though we ultimately decided not to move forward with the project this year, I still felt strongly that they deserved a review because the experience was that positive. Rich was incredibly professional, patient, thorough, and honest throughout the entire process. He came to our home multiple times, spent significant time walking us through the issues, answered every question we had, and never once made us feel pressured. He took a very thoughtful approach and helped us understand not just what was wrong, but why. What really stood out to me was how detailed and methodical their process was. They approached the project in phases, explained tradeoffs clearly, discussed long-term planning, and helped us think through comfort, efficiency, future HVAC replacement considerations, construction impact, and budgeting. It felt much more like working with a consultant than just getting a sales quote. Even though we chose to wait another year before making this investment, Hassler will absolutely be the first company we contact when we are ready to move forward. That says a lot. I would highly recommend Hassler to anyone looking for a professional, knowledgeable, and trustworthy HVAC company. And if possible, ask to work with Rich Flores. He was fantastic.

Poor project management and nonexistent follow-through — missed rebate as a result. Please look at the 1 star reviews! I hired Hassler for a full heat pump HVAC + heat pump water heater electrification project in January 2026. The physical installation was completed in a few days and completed February 4th. Permit approval did not come until the end of April — almost 3 months later! — despite me proactively pushing at every stage. Project management and communication were essentially nonexistent. I ended up coordinating directly with the building inspector and the third-party HERS tester they use to try to speed things up. At multiple points I had to advocate to get work done to manufacturer specifications (correct duct sizing for warranty compliance) rather than the onsite switch they tried to implement. Key issues: - The outdoor heat pump unit was left unattached/not screwed down to its base (a safety concern in our seismic/wind area). - Zero proactive communication or updates. - Still no complete project documentation as of late May. This directly caused me to miss the California Energy-Smart Homes rebate (closed mid-April) even though the work was finished months earlier ($4800 LOST). They were extremely quick to invoice and collect payment once the system was powered on (per their contract terms), but have provided almost nothing since without me chasing hard. The installation quality itself was mostly fine, but the lack of project oversight, safety oversights, and complete failure to deliver close-out documentation made the overall experience very poor. Buyer beware if you value expert guidance, communication, proper close-out, and help with rebate paperwork then look elsewhere.
