G & S Mechanical

George from G&S Mechanical came out today, and I truly can't thank him enough. Our AC had been out for two days, and with the house reaching 86° inside, my kids were hot, uncomfortable, and definitely getting cranky. George was incredibly quick, thorough, and professional. He took the time to diagnose the problem, explained everything clearly, and had our AC up and running much faster than I expected. I was so grateful that he was kind enough to come out so quickly and get our family comfortable again. It's such a relief to know there are honest, dependable people like George who genuinely care about their customers. Thank you, George, and thank you to G&S Mechanical for the outstanding service. I highly recommend them to anyone needing HVAC service!

I have been using G&S Mechanical for about four years after they were highly recommended by a local business owner. Until recently, our relationship had been excellent. I truly thought I had found my HVAC family for life in the Austin area. Over the years, I've had some outstanding experiences with their technicians. One technician even helped find our newly adopted dog after she ran off chasing a deer. Another liked my dishwashing setup so much that he went home and built one for his own family. Those are the kinds of people who made me loyal to this company. I've spent somewhere around $10,000 with G&S Mechanical keeping my HVAC systems running. Unfortunately, much of that has been due to a poor original installation and faulty equipment that is no longer manufactured. Throughout that process, they stood behind the work, and I appreciated that. Something has changed over the past few months, and unfortunately it hasn't been for the better. Their technician recently diagnosed another failure with the same problematic equipment, but no one came back to complete the repair. Even more disappointing, no one called to let me know they weren't coming. That left me waiting while my house continued to heat up, when I could have called another company instead. I don't know if they're short on technicians, have become too busy, or simply don't want to service customers this far from their office anymore. Whatever the reason, the level of customer service I experienced for years is no longer what it once was. A year ago, I would have gladly given G&S Mechanical a five-star review without hesitation. Today, I considered giving them only three stars—not because of a difficult repair, but because of the lack of communication and follow-through. I sincerely hope this is just a temporary setback, because this is a company I genuinely enjoyed doing business with and would like to recommend again in the future.
