About

Dunbar Mechanical Inc is a Toledo-based, ISO 9001:2015 certified specialty contractor delivering commercial and industrial HVAC, mechanical, and construction services across Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan since 1936. As a family-owned business with over 80 years of continuous operation, Dunbar brings an in-house engineering team to every project through its Design/Build division. This structure gives facility managers a single accountable point of contact from concept through commissioning, reducing coordination risk and keeping project schedules tighter than multi-vendor approaches typically allow. Dunbar's service scope extends well beyond HVAC installation. The company provides building automation and control systems programming, certified medical gas installation and service across 15 facilities in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan, industrial and commercial plumbing, process piping design and fabrication, rigging, and structural steel erection. That breadth makes Dunbar particularly relevant for complex facilities — automotive dealerships, food processing plants, medical buildings, and multi-location commercial portfolios — where mechanical, piping, and structural work intersect. The company holds offices in both Toledo, OH and Plymouth, MI, and serves clients within a 25-mile radius of its Toledo location. Verified commercial clients include Vin Devers Autohaus of Sylvania and multi-site commercial operators, with reviewers specifically citing timely execution, quality workmanship, and competence in rigging and equipment installation. Dunbar Mechanical Inc carries a 4.1/5 Google rating across 16 reviews.

A very unprepared contractor. Treats employees poorly and habitually lies about safety standards while continually violating OSHA standards. Poorly prepared and puts workers safety at risk on a constant basis. The cleveland division from supervisors to foreman is particularly disgusting. Lowers standard of safety while consistently lying and forging documents pertaining to safety training. Very disturbing . Unprofessional, and low quality of work. Buyer beware! Stay away.
