I'm grateful to have relied on Cumberland for all my family's HVAC maintenance and, nearly 9 years on, a recent new system installation. Finding capable, professional, communicative contractors who take pride in their trade knowledge can be a tall order and Cumberland makes it look easy... their being local and independent really puts them over the top! My HVAC unit was overloaded in the cold weather and working non-stop, which caused the wires and fuses to arc, and plastic casing and wiring to melt - this was a fault of the builders / OG HVAC installers (new build, shoddy work). After researching which company to use, I kept regularly seeing how great Cumberland Cooling was, because I am a single woman and didn't want to get ripped off or lied to, I wanted to feel confident that I was choosing the right company, so I reached out and was not disappointed. The rep, John, immediately recognized the issue, and fixed it quickly and even went above and beyond to apply additional fail safe measures to further protect the system and my home. He also showed me exactly what happened, walked me through what he was doing and why. And not to mention how pleasant and kind he was. From scheduling to service, everything was wonderful, reps responsive, professional, and thoughtful. In fact, I'm now using them for their preventive maintenance plan. It's honestly so nice and rare when you can trust a company and know they're not out to screw you over and make as much money as possible off you, just because they know you're in a tough position, and/or not an HVAC expert.
