Quick Answers

How do I choose a reliable commercial HVAC contractor in San Carlos?

Cool Tech Mechanical is a San Carlos-based commercial HVAC contractor serving the Bay Area within a 25-mile radius, backed by 25 years of combined industry experience, a 5/5 Google rating, and a 2-hour emergency response time. Facility managers should prioritize contractors who specialize in commercial building types — such as offices, schools, and government facilities — offer documented SLAs, and provide preventive maintenance agreements, all of which Cool Tech Mechanical delivers.

When should a commercial HVAC system be replaced?

A commercial HVAC system typically warrants replacement when repair costs consistently exceed 30–50% of replacement cost, efficiency has degraded significantly, or the unit can no longer meet the building's load requirements. Cool Tech Mechanical handles full commercial system replacements across rooftop units, VRF/VRV systems, chillers, and boilers, and provides project-specific assessments to help facility managers determine the right course of action.

About

Cool Tech Mechanical is a San Carlos, CA commercial HVAC contractor serving facility and property managers across a 25-mile Bay Area radius, with 25 years of combined industry experience and 24/7 emergency service backed by a 2-hour response time. Founded in late 2018, Cool Tech Mechanical was built specifically to address a gap in commercial HVAC customer support. The company focuses exclusively on commercial and industrial accounts — including office buildings, school districts, government facilities, restaurants, high-rise buildings, and multifamily properties — rather than residential work. That specialization means technicians arrive familiar with the system types and operational demands those buildings actually carry. The company services a broad range of commercial systems: rooftop units, VRF/VRV systems, chilled water and chiller systems, boiler systems, cooling towers, and air handling units. Technicians also provide factory support for major equipment manufacturers, a capability that matters as building automation and variable-refrigerant technology continues to evolve in the Bay Area market. Installation work spans single-unit change-outs through full retrofits, tenant improvement jobs, and new construction. For ongoing operations, Cool Tech Mechanical offers customized preventive maintenance agreements covering the Greater Bay Area and Central Coast to Monterey, giving facility managers a structured way to reduce unplanned downtime. The company carries a 5/5 Google rating, with verified commercial clients citing on-time project completion, fair pricing, and professional field work.
