In Feb of 2021 we had Allen Heating install a new high efficiency Lennox furnace. There's a part on the side that started leaking the following winter. I called Allen Heating and they had a tech come out to fix the leak. He tightened the pipes and the leak stopped...until the following winter. Every year it's had to be tightened and either my husband has done it (because he watched the tech do it) or a handyman has done it. This year I decided to call a different HVAC company to get their opinion of the attachment. The owner of the company came out to look at it. He suggested a pump would be a better option. Ok so there's that but after looking at that issue he looked at our entire furnace. The Heating duct connected to the furnace was simply taped to the furnace. There are no screws holding it to the furnace and there's a significant amount of heat blowing out all around the duct. He found a water leak coming from the copper tube connected to the April Air unit. It was installed crooked so it has to be replaced. The other major issue is that our furnace is sitting on the basement floor. It's supposed to be sitting on a box to let air circulate so it operates more efficiently. The return vent connected to it is also supposed to be a 12x20. Allen left the original smaller return of 10x20. I emailed Allen to ask about the issues that this other company pointed out. I received an email stating that he can send a tech out but I'd have to pay the labor costs. He said the leaking copper tube isn't their doing because they didn't install it. Weird. I have a receipt showing that they DID indeed install a new April Air unit. He also said that if we had had Allen come out to do yearly maintenance that they could've fixed the leaks and put screws in the ducts (and in one of his responses asked why this other company didn't just go ahead and do that). The reason for my review is because the installation itself was done in a very shoddy fashion. I had 3 conversations via email with the owner of Allen Heating. In each email I asked why our furnace installation wasn't raised up onto a box. No response. He also never responded to my question as to why the return duct wasn't upgraded in size to accommodate the larger furnace. The majority of work that has to be done to make our furnace run properly is LABOR so why would I have Allen Heating profit from that when they're the company that installed all of this equipment is such a careless manner?!? I'll gladly pay this other company to fix all of the issues with our very poorly installed furnace. I have zero confidence in the workmanship of Allen Heating. I should've checked reviews back in 2021 and saved myself the inconvenience and cost. I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau website. They have a C- rating. That right there is enough to make a potential customer question their competency.

Did not fix the problem the first time around, but I was very grateful that they returned and completed what was necessary. I was not charged any additional fee, and i'm grateful for the service they provided. Thank you Mike. I would highly recommend them for any plumbing services needed.

These guys are the real deal. Efficient, direct, and professional. A special thanks to Cody Moore who came for the inspection/grading and promptly (within 24-48 hours) was back with his team to fully replace AC unit at a peak time. Frankly, I could not be more pleased with the service and the work. When AC UNIT failed and a different contractor diagnosed that problem, I called my father in-law to see who he would use. He recommended Allen Heating + Cooling and they knocked it out of the park - Cody and his teammate Lyle were absolute stars and all my thanks. We will 100% be using Allen Heating and Cooling for years to come, they earned it!
